Medal of Honor: Allied Assault in VRactivework in progress
The 2002 shooter running natively on a Meta Quest 3, built on OpenMoHAA.
OpenMoHAA is an open-source reimplementation of Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, along with its Spearhead and Breakthrough expansions, built on ioquake3 and the F.A.K.K. SDK. This is a fork of it that runs on a Meta Quest 3 in stereo VR.
It runs natively on the headset rather than being streamed: 1680×1760 per eye, 6DoF head tracking, stick locomotion, snap turning, and menus on a panel fixed in the room rather than glued to your face. A mission can be started and played end to end.
Where it is
The Android build, the OpenXR stereo path and basic interaction are working. The current work is weapon handling — putting the gun in your hand rather than on your face, per-weapon alignment, and reloading with a tap of the weapon hand’s grip.
Read that as: playable, and visibly unfinished.
OpenMoHAA is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Electronic Arts. This fork is unaffiliated with both.
